FCA recently launched its newest Sport-Specific Ministry: skateboarding! Under the direction of longtime skater and ministry veteran Nate Giarratano,the Skateboarding Ministry marks FCA’s seventhSport-Specific endeavor, joining Golf, Lacrosse, Baseball, Health and Fitness, Motocross and Endurance.

Giarratano, a native of the Kansas City area, established an independent skateboarding ministry in 2001 and, after hosting a successful outreach event called Unity Fest, began holding weekly “skate church” meetings in his church’s parking lot. The ministry then moved to a large indoor skate park where Giarratano and his team were able to minister to more than 100 kids every Tuesday night.

Now part of the FCA team, Giarratano and his family are excited about what God has in store. Please pray for them as they begin to break new ground and reach athletes for Christ through FCA Skateboarding.
